PSB Director's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As announced today, the return to in-person learning has been delayed until January 24, 2022, with a further update next week.

We will continue to provide remote learning and are working with the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning to explore ways we can provide additional assistance to students who need extra support. Your school will be communicating with you over the next few days.

During remote learning, students are encouraged to continue engaging with their coursework to ensure they complete their class-based assessment tasks.

If your child is struggling with the current situation, I strongly encourage you to reach out for support. You can contact your school or Student Well-being Team for school-based supports or reach out to another health care service, which can be found on the government website at https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/information/health-pei/mental-health-services.

If you have any questions or require more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your school.

Take care,

Norbert Carpenter

Director, Public Schools Branch
